CACPT is pleased to announce an exciting, time limited opportunity for play therapists who have achieved Certification/Registration status with APT or PTI and who would like to become Certified with CACPT. You can become Certified with CACPT without having to formally apply for certification, and the certification fee will be waived.

To take advantage of this
one-time only opportunity, please follow the guidelines below:

Please note that this special Porting Agreement is only in effect until December 31, 2010.

1) If you are NOT currently a member of CACPT, please complete the CACPT membership form (available on the CACPT web site at www.cacpt.com). Mail the completed membership form to CACPT, along with:

  • provide proof ( a copy) of your active Certification/Registration status with APT or PTI,
  • a copy of education transcripts (final degree earned)
  • Current CV
  • one professional reference
  • and membership fee ($140 plus GST).

Once this is received and processed by CACPT, you will receive a CACPT membership card that confirms your membership with CACPT and Certified status.

2) If you are currently a member of CACPT, you do not need to complete a new membership form or pay additional membership dues at this time. Please submit the following documents:

  • provide proof (a copy) of your active Certification/Registration status with APT or PTI
  • a copy of education transcripts (final degree earned)
  • Current CV
  • one professional reference

When you renew your membership dues for 2010, you will be charged the membership fee for the Certification category ($140). Once proof of your Certification/Registration status with APT or PTI is received and processed by CACPT, you will receive a new CACPT membership card that confirms your Certified status.

We would like to emphasize that those individuals who have obtained their registered/certified Supervisor status with APT or PTI will be ported to Certified Play Therapist-Supervisor status with CACPT.

** We encourage all registered/certified individuals (both regular and supervisor status) with APT and PTI to become certified with CACPT during this limited time period when the Porting Agreement is in effect. *
